  • What do I need to relocate to Aruba?
    In order to reside and/or work in Aruba you will need the necessary permits; entry permit, residence permit and work permit.

  • I was born in Aruba before 1948, but I have been living abroad - Do I need a permit to reside and/or work in Aruba?
    If you are still in the posession of a Dutch passport you can reside, work and conduct business in Aruba.
      
  • I was born in Aruba after 1948 of Aruban mother, but currently live abroad - Do I need a permit to reside and/or work in Aruba?
    If born in Aruba of an Aruban mother, you can reside, work and conduct business in Aruba.
      
  • Can a non-resident buy a house in Aruba?
    YES. In order to buy house in Aruba one needs to visit a notary and present a.o.: - a valid passport
                            - bank reference

    However, to permanently reside in Aruba, you will need a Permanent Residence Permit.

  • Can a non-resident start his/her own business in Aruba?
    When forming a company/starting a business, one must at least have been residing in Aruba for 5 years and be in the possession of a Business License and/or a Directors License, otherwise one will need an Aruban partner for 51% at incorporation.

    However, one can buy an existing business for 100%, but note that certain restrictions apply based on the type of business.
